About me

Hello everyone! Discover how my career has always gravitated around forests, maps and forest users in an international context.

I graduated with a M.Sc. in Forestry at the University of Firenze (Italy) in 2005, with a thesis on forest pathology prepared in collaboration with the University of Aberdeen (UK). I then worked as private consultant in Italy on various projects, such as preparation of forest management and harvesting plans, access to CAP funds, and geodatabase preparation.

During 2008/09 I attended a Master’s Degree in Geomatics and Natural Resources Evaluation at University of Firenze and Instituto Agronomico per l’Oltremare (Italy), with a thesis prepared on a field study in Ethiopia.

From 2010 to 2014 I worked as GIS and forestry consultant in different South-East Asian countries (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos) for international NGOs. Especially I worked as technical advisor on a UNDP-funded project on Community Forestry development in Cambodia with RECOFTC – The Center of People and Forests.

Now I am a PhD student at Bangor University (UK), working on forest regeneration modelling. Check my research here.
